Udupi: Vikram I Acharya, founder president of Vishwakarma Yuva Milan, has demanded the immediate arrest of the individuals responsible for Abhishek Acharya’s suicide. According to Vikram, Abhishek was trapped by four people, tortured, and extorted for money, which allegedly drove him to take his own life.

Vikram stated that the accused — Niriksha, Rakesh, Rahul, and Taslim — forced Abhishek to hand over three to four lakh rupees and threatened to kill him if he did not comply. The victim was also reportedly blackmailed with obscene pictures captured on a hidden camera.

“The police should conduct a proper investigation and ensure strict punishment for the culprits. Such heinous acts should not go unpunished,” Vikram I Acharya said, appealing for swift action against the accused.

Case registration and current status

A case has been registered against the four accused, but Vikram I Acharya claims that the police have not taken strict action so far. He emphasised that the authorities must treat the case with seriousness due to the severe mental and financial harassment faced by Abhishek.

Appeal for justice

Vikram I Acharya further urged law enforcement officials to ensure justice for the victim and his family. He said that immediate action is necessary to prevent such crimes from recurring and to uphold the safety of individuals in similar situations.

The incident has drawn attention to the growing concern over online extortion and blackmail, highlighting the need for strict legal measures and prompt action by the authorities.
