Mangaluru: Infuriated Sadhwi Balika Saraswathi of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday urged the descended crowd at Nehru Maidan to arm with weapons to fight against enemies, particularly Muslims to establish Hindu Rasthra and went on to challenge Akbaruddin Owaisi of Hyderabad to come to Mangaluru, if he had the courage to finish off Hindu community.

A half-an-hour key note address swayed the gathering at Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Hindu Samajotsava, with people applauding and cheering to each provocative comments of Sadhwi, mainly aimed at Islam and Christianity.

Surprisingly, Saraswathi held Hindus responsible for cow slaughter. “It is the Hindus who sell unproductive cows in the market for want of money, which is the key reason for cow butchery,” she said. Balika expressed that each Hindu should protect at least one cattle, so that there won’t be any cattle available for the Muslims to kill. She chided Muslims saying they have no right to slaughter ‘Gove Mata’ (cattle) which “We worship as God.”

The 20-year-old Sadhwi, quoting the speech of Akbaruddin Owaisi who in Hyderabad said – “Clear the police for 20 minutes, Muslims will finish off Hindus”, she claimed that even police won’t let this awful event to happen as Hindu blood flows in every policeman. She called on police to join Hindu struggle to eliminate evil forces prevailing in Bharath (India), to build Hindu hegemony.

Backing Ghar Wapsi carried out by VHP, she questioned the media for allegedly hyping it. “Why media is silent when missionaries engage in conversion, while Muslims convert through love jihad. We should end teachings of tolerance and peace; otherwise Hindus cannot succeed in materializing our dreams”, she said and asked the Hindus to take up machetes and kill Muslims, who are practicing love jihad.

On Ghar Wapsi, she said that until the last person in India is converted to Hinduism, the process of re-conversion will continue. This would also facilitate to establish Hindu Rasthra and lauded the RSS and VHP.

She batted for Ram Mandir, saying the temple must be constructed. “Hindus will not lend even an inch space to build any mosque. Mandir would be erected before the next Rama Navami. It’s not the court but we the Hindus have all the right to take decision on on Ayodhya dispute. We will not only build a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya but even in Islamabad’, she said.

 ‘Be a good Hindu’

In his address, Pejawar Mutt seer Vishvesha Tirtha asked the crowd to be a good Hindu. “Do not encourage communal clash. Do not throw stones at holy places and on churches. Stop indulging in harmful incidents. If I tell all these things, I know, you will not clap. But, this is the bitter truth, he said.

He asked not to bring black mark on Hindu religion. “You all should contribute towards its greatness. Use your strength to do well. Let’s strive for peace”, he advised a huge crowd.

The swamiji condemned the remarks on sacred scripture Bhagavad Gita. “All those who wanted the holy Gita to be burnt, should first burn their ignorance. Gita does not teach sectanariasm. It’s not the birth, according to Gita, which decides the caste but it’s the qualities and hard work of a person. There is no discrimination in Hinduism. All are equal, he mentioned.

Adopt changes

In his presidential address, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala D. Veerendra Heggade asked the crowd to adopt change in life. “It’s not the time to celebrate but chalk out a vision. There is no point in holding such a huge convention, if you all do not change for good. We should grow economically and spiritually. Leave your bad habits, do not get into alcoholism”, he said.

“I am the living witness to the growth of Vishwa Hindu Parishad over the last fifty years. It has worked towards the elimination of caste discrimination. There was a time, when the seers were hesitating to sit together on stage. But, now things have changed and thanks to VHP”, he mentioned.

Vittal stands for his words

Vijaya Vittalanatha Shetty president, Swarna Mahotsava Utsava Samiti and a congressman had promised to speak against communal hatred ever since he took the charge as convention committee president. As he said, his short speech batted for communal harmony. “There is no need to promote communal hatred. The Hindu roots are strong and no one can do anything. It’s not the saffron flag, which speaks of Hindutva but our thoughts and ideology. I’m a proud Hindu and I respect other religion”, he said,

Earlier, the convention began a grand procession from Ambedkar circle towards Nehru Maidan. There was elaborate security and the function was largely peaceful. All most all the commercial shops and other outlets remain closed since morning.
