Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandys troubles refuse to go away with the opposition stepping up demands for his resignation over what has come to be known as the “solar scam”.
Hundreds of opposition-backed protesters today tried to storm the state assembly, which adjourned indefinitely after repeated disruptions by the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front opposition.
Activists from pro-Left youth groups also clashed with the police during protests outside the university campus.
The opposition wants the chief minister to resign over his alleged links with Sarita Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan, who are accused of cheating people by promising solar panels at low costs.
