Pune: A Pune-based businessman was booked for allegedly raping his daughter for three years. The girl claimed she was subjected to sexual harassment by her grandfather when she narrated the ordeal to him .
The police have arrested the businessman’s septuagenarian father on the basis of the girl’s statement. The incident was reported from an up-market residential colony in Pune on Friday.
Rajendra Malik, senior investigating cop of Pune crime branch said, “The accused is a CEO in a Pune-based company. His daughter told us that she was raped by him for three years and often asked to “sleep” with his colleagues and strangers when she was taken to “business trips” by her father. We have lodged and FIR and investigating the case.”
Police have also arrested two women, said to be the accused’s colleagues, who accompanied him when the victim was raped.
It is learnt that the girl is a second year commerce student. Three months ago, she moved to a rented accommodation to escape sexual assault by his father. When she returned home on Thursday she narrated the ordeal to her grandfather who beat her up and raped her.
The businessman got separated from his wife three years ago. The girl confided in her mother and approached the police.
The businessman is on the run and police are hunting for him.
The CEO and his septuagenarian father have been booked under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
