Shimla: After the Uttar Pradesh Government suspended IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal for allegedly taking on sand mafia in Greater Noida, another IAS was attacked by mining mafia in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday morning as the tractor driver tried to run over him. SDM Nalagarh Yunus Khan has been spearheading a crusade against the sand mafia.
The truck driver pushed SDMs vehicle thrice in order to throw him down the bridge and fled away. But it met an accident at a corner bridge and the driver was apprehended.
A case has been registered under section 353 of IPC.
He said, “We were on a raid yesterday at 4:45 PM, a few tractors hit me, tractor drivers were finally caught and FIR has been registered.” The SDM has also confirmed that he got threat calls earlier. Yunus is a batchmate of IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal.
