Gettysburg, Pennsylvania: Renowned paranormal investigator and U.S. Army veteran Dan Rivera, aged 54, passed away unexpectedly while on a national tour with the infamous Annabelle doll, believed by some to be haunted. Rivera was in Gettysburg as part of his “Devils on the Run Tour,” which had recently concluded a three-day sold-out event at the Soldiers National Orphanage, organized by Ghostly Images of Gettysburg Tours.

Rivera was found unresponsive in his hotel room on Sunday evening. Emergency personnel responded to a report of CPR in progress, but he was declared dead at the scene. According to the coroner’s office, there are no signs of foul play, and Rivera was alone at the time of his death. The cause of death remains unknown as investigations continue.

Rivera was a prominent figure in the paranormal field, having appeared on the Travel Channel’s “Most Haunted Places” and worked as a producer on Netflix’s “28 Days Haunted”. He was also affiliated with the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), the organization founded by famed demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The Annabelle doll, central to Rivera’s tour, has a notorious past tied to a series of alleged supernatural events in the 1970s. The Warrens claimed the doll was possessed by a demonic entity, prompting them to house it in their occult museum.

Rivera’s sudden passing has reignited interest and debate around the doll’s dark legacy.
