Brasilia: The Brazilian government has launched a five-year anti-corruption plan aimed at fighting graft.

President Jair Bolsonaro signed the document at the government headquarters on Wednesday during a ceremony attended by the General Comptroller of the Union Wagner Rosario, and other top officials, reports Xinhua news agency.

According to Rosario, the plan adopted international recommendations issued by the UN, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Organization of American States (OAS).

According to the President’s office, the anti-corruption plan will be implemented in two stages: the first diagnoses the situation with the help of the Interministerial Committee Against Corruption; and the second prepares the measures to be implemented in the short and medium terms.
