Mumbai:For once, people were walking into a restaurant not just for the food but for the bill. When Parel eatery, Aditi restaurant, reopened on Tuesday morning, a lot of people visited it hoping they would get a bill with a message on it. However, the message was dropped from the bill. Now it only said, “Have a nice day.”
And the publicity seems to have worked in the restaurant’s favour. People were waiting for a table in spite of the heavy downpour. “Everyone is seeing the TV crew outside and are walking in once they know the story, people have had to wait for at least 10-15 minutes for a table,” said an employee of the hotel while he ran across tables to tend to the crowd.
Now, Congress wants BMC help to bring down Aditi:
Youth Congress members are bent on tearing apart the restaurant that criticised the scams in the Congress-led UPA government with a joke on its tax regime. The youth wing of the ruling party at the Centre has written to the BMC, complaining about illegal construction at Aditi Pure Veg restaurant in Parel.
While Narendra Modi tweets over the incident as “Height of Intolerance” on Twitter over the Aditi Restaurant case in Mumbai.
