Udupi : A 29 year old woman hailing from Alevoor who was riding a two-wheeler met a tragic end when her she fell on to the road after her vehicle skid on the slippery road due to rains. The mishap took place on August 8, Friday at Kukkikatte.
The deceased woman Poornima was a cashier at the Vidyodaya Public school. She was on way to the school when the accident took place. Her head hit against an electric pole resulting in serious head injuries. Though she was rushed to the hospital, doctors pronounced her brought dead.
Poornima has left behind her husband and a one-year old daughter. She was the daughter of Alevoor Gram Panchayat Member Sunanda.
Udupi Traffic police have registered a case.
