Udupi: Close on the heels of former union minister Ananth Kumar Hegade suggesting former DC of Dakshina Kannada district Sasikanth Senthil migrate to Pakistan, yet another BJP leader has taken a jibe at the latter in a rather insensitive manner.
Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar has stoked a controversy by saying that the bureaucrat may commit suicide in future!
“Today you resigned in protest against the policies of our PM Narendra Modi. In future you may commit suicide due to the decisions of the Union government,” he said while addressing a felicitation programme organised for the newly appointed BJP State Chief Nalin Kumar Kateel, in Udupi on Tuesday, September 10.
It may be recalled that Senthil had, all of a sudden tendered his resignation couple of days ago stating that he has decided to quit the civil service. He had told in an interview that he does not agree with a lot of moves, decisions and policies of the central government, making specific mentions of the way the abrogation of Article 370 was handled, Triple Talaq and Ram Janmabhumi issues etc.
Reacting to this, Sunil Kumar said that the entire world is appreciating Modi, who is trying to make the country and its democracy stronger, but a few like Senthil do not see it the same way.
