Udupi: Amid the weekend curfew a woman driving a car while talking on her phone threatened the traffic sub-inspector when he asked her to pull aside the vehicle and speak on her mobile here on Saturday May 1.

SI Abdul Khader confronted the woman who was driving the car during lockdown near the city’s Clock Tower, asking her to park the car, talk on the phone, and then drive. He also slapped a fine on her for the violation.

The woman accused the traffic SI of misusing his power and slapping the fine unnecessarily.

Replying to this SI Abdul said that he will not keep quiet if someone violates traffic rules, that too during Covid lockdown time.
