Udupi: Attacking the Central government for their failure to generate enough job opportunities, UT Khader, Minister for Urban Development demanded that the education loans availed by these unemployed youths should be waived off.

The youth Congress would not tolerate this, He warned.

He further blamed the BJP MLAs for doing politics over the budget presented by chief minister Kumaraswamy claiming that the coastal district and demands of its people was totally overlooked in the budget.

A sum of Rs 400 cr had been sanctioned for coastal district in the previous budget and it is now the responsiblity of the elected MLAs to work towards the developmental plans announced in these two budgets.

Regarding the woes of the fishing community, Khader said that compared to Gujarat, the state fishing community gets much better facilities. He questioned why the central government was not supplying kerosene for fishing, while adding that the state government is paying Rs 53 crore per year to supply the kerosene.
