Udupi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) and the Bajrang Dal will hold a statewide protest on Dec 13 and 14 against the killing of Hindu activists and the state government’s anti-Hindu policies.
Speaking to media persons at the Udupi Press Club on Tuesday, December 12, Gopalji, Regional Secretary of VHP said that the VHP and the BD have strongly condemned the brutal murder of Paresh Mesta in Honnavar on December 6.
“Mesta’s murder has reinstated our argument that ISIS has been working in the coastal belt of Karnataka. Paresh Mesta was brutally killed by some Muslim goons and these goons are supported by the police. We are demanding the arrest of Azad Annigeri, owner of Good Luck Hotel. He is the main accused in the Mesta murder case and this very same man is supporting the Jehadis,” he said adding that the CM of the state is silent over the murder of 20 Hindu activists.
Attacking the police for helping the culprits escape in the Mesta murder case, he said that the post Morten report states that it is an unnatural death.
“Uttara Kannada DC and the police are acting as per the whims and fancies of the Siddaramaiah government,” he said pointing out that during the silent protest at Kumta, the police resorted to lathi charge unnecessarily which angered the protesters. “This clearly shows that under the Siddaramiah government goondaism has been organised by the state,” he said adding that the case must be handed over to the NIA.
VHP and BD leaders Sharan Pumpwell, Sooryanarayan, Raghu Sakeshpur, Sunil KR and others were present during the press meet.
