Udupi: Meenkshi Madhav Bannanje, President of Udupi City Muncipal Council, inaugurated the annual Udupi Utsav at the Royal Garden Grounds here on Sunday, December 3.
A mega exhibition and attractions for children will be held at the venue of the utsav. The exhibition and amusements section will be open from 4 pm to 9 pm daily.
A large number of stalls have been put up at the venue of the exhibition. The items which will be available at these stalls include home-use products, electronic goods, handloom products, bags, footwear, readymade garments, handicrafts, decorative items, calendar photos, and one gram-gold ornaments.
A food court has also been set up for the attendees. This year, for the first time in the country, a 90 feet height and 20,000 kg steel Eiffel Tower, a model of the French steel tower will be set up at the utsav.
The Selfie Gallery will be one of the major attractions at the utsav, this time around, with various pictures of animals. People can take their selfies with the portraits of various animals.
Entrepreneur Rathnakar Shetty, Vice President of CMC Sandhya Tilakraj, former CMC President Yuvaraj, municipal councilors Celine Karkada, Harmis Noronha, Janardhan Bhandarkar, Chandrakant Naik, Ganesh Nergi, Shobha Poojary Kakkunje, Latha Anand Sherigar, Udupi Block Congress leader Sathish Amin Padukere and others among those present.
