Udupi: The Udupi district on Wednesday, July 22, registered the biggest single-day jump in the number of COVID-19 cases with 281 new infections. The district’s tally has now risen to 2,686 total confirmed cases.
A total of 1,776 people have been discharged so far and 11 people have succumbed to the disease, leaving 899 active cases in the district.
The results of 467 throat swab samples are still awaited.
