Udupi: The Drug Disposal Committee, by the order of the court, burnt down 20 kg of cannabis, in the premises of district police office here on Friday, October 26.
The district police had seized 20 kg 402 grams of ganja during its raids in 15 cases filed in various police stations of the district.
Meanwhile, the entire burning process was video recorded.
Drug Disposal Committee members Udupi Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi, Udupi DySP Jai Shankar T R, Udupi Circle Inspector Manjunath and other police officials were present during the disposal.
