Udupi: The town police arrested have two persons who for allegedly stealing gold ornaments and cash from a house in the city on July 16.
The arrested persons are Muhammed Farooq (18) who is originally from Hasanagara in Shivmogga district and presently staying with his relative at Indiranagar here and Afzal (19) is from Indiranagar here.
Items worth Rs 1,69,800 including 66.850 grams of gold ornaments and three mobile phones worth Rs 4,800 were seized from their possession.
Udupi Town Police PSI Ananthapadmanabha along with Sub Inspector Achutha of the district police office and Gopalkrishna Jogi from the town police and other police staff were involved in the arrest.
