Kundupura: Three persons were nabbed by Kundapura police on Sunday at Koteshwara for smuggling antique idols. Acting on a tip off the three persons were making an effort to sell antique idols near Kotelingeshwara Temple on Saturday.
The arrested are Navil Wilfy Mascaranehas(36) resident of Padil, Mangaluru, Anil Futardo(34) resident of Taleguppa and Ashton Sequeira (28).
Police have confiscated four Jain Thirthankar antique idols, Cash counting machine, mobile phones and Rs 40000 cash.
Police have detained John and Anil from Koteshwara for further inquiry.
