Udupi: Sunil Cabral Shirva has been elected as Founder President of newly constituted Udupi District Indian Christian Union (ICU).
ICU has came into existence in Udupi district in order to resolve the various issues faced by the Christian community and also to give information on the facilities that are given by the Union Government and State government to the community.
The newly established ICU’s office is located at YMCA building near Jodukatte and Big Bazar.
Other office bearers’ also were elected during the first meeting of the council. The elected members are: Ronald Manohar Karkada as Honorary President, Charles Amlar as Secretary, Melwyn D’Souza Shirva and Janet Barboza of Mudarangady as Vice-Presidents, Michael Ramesh D’Souza of Mudarangadi as Treasurer, Steevan Colaco Udyavar as Joint Secretary, Dion D’Souza Kalmady as Public Relation Officer and Sheela Jatthanna as Auditor.
