Kundapur : The suspicious death of 17 year old college girl Ratna Kottari whose decomposed body was found in a forest area at Alandoor near Byndoor  on Saturday, has triggered protest by the student community.

On July 14, Monday students of various colleges in the town,  took out a protest march under the aegis of the SFI and the ABVP and also organised a protest  urging the Police Department to immediately arrest those  responsible for the death of Ratna Kottari.

They also expressed their displeasure over the fact that the investigation into the case has not made much headway. The student leaders also submitted a memorandum to the Home Minister through the  Tahsildar seeking a thorough probe into the case.
