Udupi: Sri Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji of the Pejawar mutt will ascend the ‘Paryaya Peetha’ for the fifth time, which commences from January 18, 2016.
‘Baale Muhurta’, the first of the preliminaries before the next Paryaya festival, would be held at the Pejawar Math here on December 6.
The Pejawar seer will be creating history as he will be ascending the Paryaya Peetha for the fifth time. No other seer of the Ashta Maths of Udupi has ascended the Paryaya Peetha more than four times since the two-year Paryaya system had started.
Pejawar seer said that he wanted his junior to take over the charge but his junior is reluctant and wants Senior seer to adorn the Peetha.
