Udupi : State Energy Minister and Congress leader D K Shivakumar opined that Vinay Kumar Sorake sacrificed his ministership in order to give a chance to senior leader Kagodu Thimmappa.
Canvassing for the assembly elections at the Rajiv Bhavan at Kaup on May 2, Shivakumar said that it will take at least 25 years to create a leader like Sorake. It will be the responsibility of the people of Kaup Constituency to re-elect Sorake with a large margin of votes to ensure further development of the area, he added.
Counting the development works of Sorake around Kaup, Shivakumar said, “It is due to the efforts of Sorake that Kaup constituency has continuous electricity supply. He was instrumental in solving the problem of UPCL in the constituency.”
Actor Sadhu Kokila also batted in favour of Sorake and said that Congress is needed for the overall development of the state and constituency.
