Udupi: The state government under Siddaramaiah has failed in governance, said MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, addressing a press meet at his office on November 2.

He said that the government had totally failed to convene the legislative council as well as legislative assembly effectively. “They conducted assembly only for 40 days instead of 60 days. Delay of 94 c and 94 cc projects, housing projects loopholes, delay in developmental works, Lokayukta and ACB matters only were discussed”, he said.

“During zero hour, no proper answers were received nor were they interested in discussing various problems faced by the citizens of Karnataka. Failure to establish atleast one government medical college which was promised in the election manifesto, housing projects and lot of other projects are standstill and the state government has totally failed to fulfill the promises made in the election manifesto.

The Urban Development department and Panchayat Raj department ordered to create new data entry operators’ posts in the gram panchayats. But in more than 6022 gram panchayat, the existing data entry operators are insecure in their jobs since 10 years,” he added.

Under Mathrapurna project, the pregnant women failed to get nutritious food, he alleged and appealed to provide quality food for the pregnant women.

He also demanded the resignation of ministers Vinay Kulkarni and K J George who are facing criminal cases. The BJP will launch statewide protest to demand their resignation from the state cabinet, he added.
