Udupi: During the Shivamogga Lok Sabha by polls 2018, the Byndoor and Kundapura towns will go for voting on November 3. As a precautionary measure, from November 1, 6 PM to November 3, 8 PM, Section 144 will be imposed by Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis.

As per the order, not more than 5 people can form a group in public.

The parties and organisations have received strict warning against conducting any victory procession or protest.

It has also stated that none should possess any arms and ammunition during the polls and or pelt stones at each other and damage the public property.

The candidates must end canvassing 48 hours before the voting begins, as per the Election Commission of India.

The DC has made it clear in the order that these rules and regulations will not affect any government organised programmes and does not restrain the police force from using canes and guns.
