Rocket Moda when it was healthy
Udupi: A buffalo which was famously known as “Rocket Moda” in the field of Kambala (annual buffalo race usually organised in the Coastal Karnataka), succumbed to illness, here on Wednesday, November 21.
This buffalo had won several medals in the race both in junior as well as senior category.
Its death is due to illness from the past several days.
This news has clouded the minds of the Kambala fans with grief.
Rocket Moda belongs to a prominent house in Kambala that is Kolake Irvathur Bhaskar Kotian. Later this buffalo was shifted to Kolachur Kondettu Sukumar Shetty’s house.
The buffalo was buried according to the Hindu rituals in the presence of hundreds of Kambala fans who had gathered to bid “good bye” to their favourite sports star.
