Udupi : National Parliment of the Fishermen Congress Committee was held on March 14 in Thariyapur, Kerala.
Secretary of the National Fishermen Congress Kiran Kumar mentioned about the disappearance of the Malpe based fishing boat Swarna Thribhuja and its 7 crew members, drawing the attention of Congress president Rahul Gandhi towards the issue.
As many as seven fishermen are missing along with the Swarna Thribhuja Boat since 89 days and there is absolutely no clue about their whereabouts. The state government has done everything possible from its capacity but the central government has neglected the fishermen. The seven families of the missing fishermen are in deep sorrow for the past 3 months and have decided to boycott the Lok Sabha elections.
Kiran, continuing his speech said that Modi had promised military aid in finding the boat, but has now forgotten his promise which shows that he is a liar. Modi must help the Malpe fishermen find their missing folk using military which he used to bomb the Pakistan militant training camps. He urged Rahul to draw Mod’s attention to the issue.
Rahul promised to write to Modi regarding the missing boat and its crew. He said Modi has no concern for the fishermen and the farmers. Saving Ambani, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi are his priority. Only the Congress is for the farmers and poor people, said Rahul Gandhi.
