Karkala: Prakhyath Poojary of Prakruti School was declared the winner in Karate sparring and runner-up in the Kata competition organised by the Vishwa Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Institute between February 11 and 12 in Mumbai.
Prakhyath Poojary, a seventh grade student, took the top honours in the 12-13 years age category in the 23rd WFSCO Asian/International Karate Open Championship held at Priyadarshini Sports Complex.
Founder of Prakruti Group of Institutions Chrispine Jerald Crasta, members of administrative board, principal and staff have congratulated the young winner for his stupendous performance.
