Police seek expulsion of 10 Matka bidders from the district

Udupi: The district police have sent a proposal to the deputy commissioner to expel ten Matka bidders from the district.

Speaking to the media, District Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi, during in his phone-in programme on Friday, November 23, said that earlier, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) had ordered the expulsion of ten Matka bidders from the district. “Now, ten more names have been submitted to the DC. She will look into the matter and pass an order to expel them from the district very soon,” the SP said.

During the phone-in programme, The SP received several calls. Calls such as a request to take action against heavy stone carrying vehicles, rash driving, abuse of the ST/SC atrocities act to terminate jobs, illegal night time sand extraction, littering near MGM– Chakratheertha road at Udupi, and a complaint from Kundapura that the RTO is not giving importance to online applications.
