Udupi: Two persons, hailing from Odisha, were arrested by the Udupi Town Police for peddling ganja near Karthik General Stores in Santhekatte, Kallianpur on Monday, October 29.
The arrested have been identified as Devasish Sethi (27), a resident of Subramanya Nagara near Puttur and Sanathan Patra (32), a resident of Santhekatte.
A total of 1 kg of ganja was seized from them, which was brought from Odisha to sell in Udupi. The value of the ganja seized is approximately Rs. 25,000/-, said the police.
The team that arrested the peddlers was led by Manjunath CPI.
A case was registered by the police.
