Udupi: Have you ever had an experience of driving your own car with an attire and face make over after a skit or a programme?
Here is one artiste who continued wearing the same attire and face makeover after his Yakshagana performance and drove the car to perform at another venue.
Prominent Yakshagana artiste Nilkodu Shankar Hegde was the one who surprised the passers-by with his attire.
Speaking to one of the regional Kannada dailies, he said that he was on the way from Gudeangadi after finishing his performance and travelling towards Ankola for another Yakshagana act.
Shankar Hegde said that it was difficult to undergo the process of makeover once again. It is not only about him but most of the artistes travel from one place to another with the same makeover for their performances, he said.
He explained the instance of police and election squad checking him at the Madanagere Checkpost.
Hegde said that he was stopped for checking on Saturday, April 6 night and when the officers saw him, they were shocked for a moment.
“Later, after explaining everything to them, they accepted it and clicked some photographs of mine”, he said.
The photos have now gone viral on social media and people are loving it.
