Udupi : The recently launched phone-in programme by the district Superintendent of Police has received favorable response from the people.
Launched with the aim of directly interacting with the people,SP Dr. Sanjeev Patil has been acting swiftly on the complaints addressed to him it is gathered.
During the second such weekly phone-in programme, on Saturday morning one of the callers complained regarding the illegal parking of auto rickshaws on the road itself at Karkala near petrol station, causing inconvenience to the pedestrians as well as other vehicles.
Acting swiftly on his complaint the SP issued directions to the Circle Inspector of police at Karkala and had the road cleared.
The members of the public have largely appreciated the quick action of the Superintendent of Police.
