Udupi: Alleging that the Siddaramaiah government supports terrorism, goondaism, is anti-farmer, anti-women and anti-national, opposition leader and former deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka KS Eshwarappa has said that state is unsafe under Siddaramaiah rule.

Addressing the BJP activists during the stage programme for the ‘Janasuraksha Padeyatre’ and ‘Mangaluru Chalo’ at Kinnimulki, near here on Monday, March 5, Eswarappa said that it would be impossible for the Siddaramaiah government to curb the RSS and Sangh Parivar. The RSS safeguards the national interests.
“In order to gain vote bank, Siddaramaiah is playing with the sentiments of the people. The politics of polarization will not work for the Congress party,” he said. Speaking about the Mahadayi row, he said that Siddaramaiah demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi solve the issue, but, during her visit to Goa, Sonia Gandhi said that she was against giving water to Karnataka. Now, the Congress is accusing Modi of not being fair, he added.

The only reason we lost the elections last time was because of the rift in the BJP party and the formation of the KJP.

Eshwarappa said that the people of Karnataka are in need of safety and security due to the rise in goondaism and the deterioration of law and order.

Earlier, MP Shobha Karandlaje flagged off the Janasuraksha Padayatre from Ambagilu junction which culminated in Kinnimulky near Udupi. Murlidhar Rao, Kota Srinivas Poojary, Raghupathy Bhat, Jayaprakash Hegde, Bharathi Shetty State Mahila Morcha president, Dinakar Babu, Yashpal Suvarna, Sheela K Shetty, Udayakumar Shetty, Shymala Kundar, Nalini Pradeep Rao, Suprasad Shetty, Sandya Ramesh, Kiran Kumar, Pratap Hegde Maralim shrisha Nayak and other leaders were present.
