Udupi: In an unfortunate incident, a fire broke out inside a parked car, causing huge losses to the owner. The car was reportedly parked outside the Geethanjali Silks Cloth shop here on Sunday, January 13 evening. No one was injured in the incident.
The car belongs to Vidyanand of Kalasa. Reportedly, Vidyanand had just gotten into the car and started the engine after having made a purchase from the shop, when he noticed a fire in the front part of the car.
The fire personnel were immediately alerted about the situation. They managed to douse the flames, however, the engine of the car was completely burnt.
