Udupi: S M Bulls is organising a National Level Flood Light Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament from April 21 to 23 at Male Gandhi Shathabdi Maidan here.
Addressing media persons at Udupi Press Club on Thursday, Shammi Malpe said that S M Bulls is a dynamic and non-profit body that believes in working for social and charitable causes. Applications have already been received for the help of kidney and heart patients and more is expected, he added.
“There are 16 teams participating from all over India and one team from Saudi Arabia. We would like to inform that the proceeds from the tournament will be donated towards charity as per the mandate of the club. The event is a major attraction in Malpe and Udupi and we expect a high level of interest and engagement this year as well from the people of the region”, he said.
Winner team will be awarded Rs 3,11,111 and a beautiful trophy and the runner up team will take Rs 2,11,111 with trophy. Man of the Series will be awarded with a two-wheeler and there would be special prizes for talented players as well, he added.
Prabhakar Kundar, Nataraj, Dinesh Suvarna, Imran Malpe and others were present at the press meet.
