Muslims offer special prayer for missing fishermen’s safe return

Udupi: Special prayers were held at ‘Melpe Sayyadina Abu Bakkar Siddik Jamaia Mosque’ on Friday, January 4, for the safe return of the seven fishermen who have gone missing since 20 days.

Imam Moulana Imaranulla Khan Mansoor prayed for the safe return of the missing fishermen.

After the prayers, Moulana Imaranullah Khan Mansur said that we are all one brothers and sisters and are equal in duties and rights regardless of race, religion, language and ethnic background. We all need to share happiness and sorrows with one another. It is everyone’s responsibility to respond positively to this painful situation. We should pray to the almighty Allah for the missing fishermen’s safe return. May Allah bless their family members with strength and courage to face this difficult situation.

Imam Moulana Imranullah Khan Mansur further said that the Muslim community will extend support for Rasta Roko on January 6, in order to put pressure on state government to trace the missing fishermen.
