Udupi: District Congress Vice President Muniyal Uday Kumar Shetty was appointed the Congress party’s election in-charge for the Udupi Legislative Assembly Constituency on April 26.
With this move, the Congress has tried to appease the disgruntled leader and his supporters who were disappointed over the refusal of party’s ticket to contest the Karnataka Assembly elections to be held on May 12.
In a press release, District Congress Committee President Janardhan Thonse said that the appointment was made under the direction of the senior Congress leaders.
