Udupi: The second round of auditions for “Mr & Miss Mangalore Beauty Pageant 2018” will be held on August 19 at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Manipal from 12 noon.
Addressing the media here at the Udupi Press Club on Friday, August 17, actor and model Prashanth Poojary and Anil Poojary said, “The auditions for Mr and Ms Mangalore 2018, were held in August at the Forum Mall and on August 19, the second round of auditions will be held in Manipal at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. The pageant finals will be held during the first week of September in Mangaluru.”
The age criteria for this beauty pageant will be 18 to 27. The dress code for boys is smart casuals and shoes and for girls, it is a cocktail dress, high heels/stiletoes, he informed.
Mr and Miss Mangalore 2018 pageant provides a platform to the youth to showcase their talents and boost their confidence. It emphasises grace, poise, glamour, fashion, confidence, originality and intelligence, he added.
The selected finalists will undergo grooming sessions, fitness sessions and photo shoots. Title winners will get a direct entry into other beauty pageants and will also get a modeling contract, he said.
To register, participants can send their name, age, height, location and contact number along with two whole body pictures (DSLR quality, the face should be visible, no sunglass/eyeglass) to pamevents2018@gmail.com
Pictures will be uploaded online for the title of “Mr and Miss Popular.”
Registration fees will be Rs 500. Criteria of judging are ramp walk, introduction and Q/A from the jury. For documentation, the participants need to carry ID proof (original + photocopy), 2 recent photographs (passport and full length 6 x 9 size).
