Missing woman found at Mangaluru railway station

Udupi: At last, after three months, the missing hearing and speech impaired woman Juleka was found at the Mangaluru Railway Station on August 23.

Bibi Juleka had boarded the Bhatkal-Mangaluru Express bus on 23 June 2017. Since then she had not returned home. A complaint was registered in the Bhatkal Police station regarding the missing woman. In order to search for her, her son Abdul Razak had arrived from Qatar and announced a reward of Rs 10,000 to the person who would find his mother.

There was a campaign to trace Juleka since then. Posters with her photo circulated especially in public places like bus stands, railway stations in various places of the undivided district.

A home guard lady had read the media report of Juleka who was missing from Kundapur. When Juleka was trying to catch a train in the Mangaluru Railway Station, the home guard recognised her and informed the railway officials. The higher officials called Juleka’s relatives.

Her relatives arrived at Mangaluru Railway station to take her.
