Udupi: A delegation of fishermen met Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as Finance Minister Arun Jaitley separately on Wednesday, January 9 and requested the Union government to trace the seven fishermen who have been missing since last 25 days.
Both Prime Minister and Finance Minister accepted the appeal by the fishermen and delegation and reportedly assured all possible help from the Union government.
Fishermen leaders Sathish Kunder, Yashpal Suvarna from Malpe, Nalin Kumar Kateel MP, Shobha Karandleje MP and Nithin Bolur and Raghupathy Bhat Udupi, MLA were present.
