Man hangs himself at temple

Udupi: In an unfortunate incident, a 35-year-old man was found hanging at a temple in Tekkatte here on Sunday March 7.

The man has been identified as Chandra Poojary from Baralibettu village. The villagers said that the man was disturbed from some months.

Poojary, who married two years ago was a regular visitor of Mahalingeshwara Temple, Tekkatte and also used to help with temple chores. He made use of the rope of the temple well to hang himself.  

An FIR has been lodged at Kota Police station in this regard. The actual reason for the suicide has not been ascertained as yet.
