MAHE secures a place within top ten rankings in NIRF 2019

Manipal: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), one of the top university in India, has secured a place in the top ten rankings of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2019, which was released by President Ramnath Kovind at Vigyan Bhawan, in New Delhi on Monday. MAHE has jumped three places up from its 2018 rank, in Indian educational institutes category.

When MAHE jumped up to 11th rank from 18th rank in the 2018 NIRF rankings, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. H Vinod Bhat had said, “It is my belief that in the coming years we will do even better and see MAHE in the top 10 of NIRF rankings. I have no doubt we will continue to do better with every passing year. We are working in that direction and I am confident of improving our position in the rankings”.

In the overall ranking MAHE has come two places up, from 18th rank to 16th rank.

The parameters of NIRF ranking framework broadly cover ‘teaching, learning and resources’, ‘research and professional practices’, ‘graduation outcomes’, ‘outreach and inclusivity’ and ‘perception’.

Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, is ranked seventh in India, and the Medical College at Mangaluru has retained its 16th rank position. Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences continues to be the 7th best and Manipal Institute of Technology is ranked 43rd.
