Udupi: Kulyadi Suresh Nayak has been elected as the new president of BJP Udupi district. He was appointed by BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Nayak had previously served as the BJP general secretary. He is currently the president of the Udupi City Bus Owners Association.
He has been an RSS worker since 1986 and BJP worker since 1989.
BJP finalises presidents for other district units as well
Apart from appointing Kulyadi Suresh Nayak in Udupi, the ruling BJP party appointed new presidents for 11 other district units.
They are: Shrivatsa (Mysuru urban), SD Mahendra (Mysuru-Rural), R Sundar (Chamarajanagar), Venkatesh Nayak (Uttara Kannada), Shantappa Gowda Patil (Bagalkot), Ramananda Yadav (Rayachuru), Channa Basavana Gowda Patil (Ballari), Veeresh Hanagavadi (Davanagere), AV Narayana Swamy (Bengaluru Rural), J Manjunath (Bengaluru Central) and NR Ramesh (Bengaluru South).
“Most of them who were nominated had an RSS background. These appointments carry the seal of BJP national general secretary BL Santhosh,” said a BJP leader.
