Udupi: KMC’s Assistant Superintendent of Nursing died after she was knocked down by an auto rickshaw, on Monday, April 29.
The deceased has been identified as Vinaya Margaret Maben (54), a resident of Saralebettu near Manipal. She was knocked down when she was walking near Ishwarnagar, next to the Uma Maheshwari temple on Sunday, April 28. She was seriously injured in the accident and breathed her last the next day.
She had started her nursing career as a staff nurse at Manipal Kasturba Hospital in 1988. She was, most recently, the assistant Nursing Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal. She is survived by a husband and three children.
