Udupi: The grand-opening of Kaliyuga Restaurant and Toddy Café was held at Malpe beach on Thursday, October 10.
District BJP Vice-President and Co-operative Fish Marketing Federation Chairman Yashpal Suvarna inaugurated the hotel by cutting the ribbon at the entrance of restaurant, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Yashpal Suvarna said that the Udupi food cuisine was not only famous in India but abroad as well. He said, “Malpe beach is one of the most popular tourist destination and locals come here as well . There used to be no good seafood restaurant around Malpe beach. The Kaliyuga restaurant could become very popular among the tourists here in Malpe.” He further urged the five partners of the Kaliyuga restaurant to provide tasty and popular food, so that people can come to the restaurant.
The Kaliyuga Restaurant offers a vast dining area and ample amount of parking space. The café is furnished with wooden tables and benches, along with a ‘Chill-Out’ area strewn with low tables. The mood at the restaurant is always friendly and relaxed. It is well-staffed and the team is always available with friendly smiles and attentive service.
The menu features a variety of seafood items that are healthy and tasty as well. Toddy is also served at the restaurant.
Virendra Kanchan and other partners, Udupi City Municipal Councilor Manju Kola , and others were present during the inaugural programme.
