Udupi: “As the effect of the second wave is likely to increase in the future, the number of ICU beds in the government and private hospitals should be increased if possible,” said DC G Jagadeesh.

After presiding over a medical expert committee meeting on Friday, April 30, he said that private hospitals should submit the details of patients getting admitted and discharged every day.

He told the officials to make sure that the oxygen provided to the patients do not go to waste. DC assured that there is no scarcity of oxygen in the district

Stating that Udupi is conducting the highest number of tests in the state after Bengaluru, he said, “People should cooperate with the district administration to prevent the spread of the virus by compulsorily observing government protocol.”
