Udupi: When Rahul Gandhi comes to Karnataka, the BJP will reap benefits. So why are they worried?, said Oscar Fernandes, Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member.
Speaking to the media in Udupi on Saturday, February 17, Oscar Fernandes said that if the BJP claims that when Rahul Gandhi comes to the state, they will get the benefit, then when Narendra Modi and Amith Shah come, the Congress should get the benefit.
Oscar Fernandes said that Rahul Gandhi received marvelous support from the people of the state adding that due to his visit, the state government’s achievements have reached the people.
Speaking in connection with the Convention of Fishermen in the coastal district, Oscar Fernandes said that the coastal fishermen are facing difficulty and that the Centre should give full support to the Fishermen.
Responding to criticisms against Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the state, Oscar said, “Let Rahul visit places all over the state. Let the opposition criticize his visits. Our leaders do their work. Rahul Gandhi will visit coastal Karnataka, but the exact date has not yet been decided.” Regarding Rahul’s visits to the temples, Oscar said that criticising is the work of the opposition.
