Hussainabba’s suspicious death: Three Bajrang Dal activists arrested

Udupi : Three Bajrang Dal activists have been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of cattle trader Hussainabba (62) near a coffee plant in Perdoor on May 30, 2018.

Acting on a tip-off that the Bajrang Dal activists had absconded to Ballari here the Udupi police contacted the Ballari police to nab the trio. The arrested are Perdur Suresh Mendon alia Suri, H Prasad and Deepak Shetty. They have been taken into police custody for further investigations. Some more persons are involved in the case as per the district police.

As per the complaint lodged at Hiriyadka Police by Muhammed Ismail on May 30, it is alleged that activists of Bajrang Dal came by a pick-up van and waylaid the Scorpio at Seenabettu, Perdoor which was transporting cattle. He claimed that Hussainabba, who was one of the occupants in the Scorpio had been manhandled and murdered.

Based on the complaint, the Hiriyadka police have filed a case under sections 143, 147, 148, 427, 341, 302 and 149 of the IPC
