Udupi: An hotelier on Sunday, January 26, reportedly jumped off a bridge and into the river in Kundapura. His body was found on Monday, January 27 morning in Bugrikadu near Hemmady.
According to reports, K G Ganesh (51) jumped off the Herikudru Bridge near NH 66.
Reports also suggest that Ganesh travelled by an autorickshaw and got down at the Herikudru Bridge. Sources said that he was last seen walking across the bridge. A purse, slippers and spectacles were recovered from the spot.
Search operations by the local fishermen continued till Sunday midnight, however, the hotelier’s body was found early on Monday morning.
