Udupi: “I never thought I would get such a day in my life. The SC has said that Muslims should accept the decision with equanimity and give Muslims five acres. The historic verdict will be a good opportunity to build a good relationship between Hindus and Muslims,” said Sri Vishwaesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, Udupi.
Speaking to reporters in the wake of the historic judgment on Ayodhya, he said, “I personally agree with this verdict. Worship is allowed in the Hindu sacred realm, and everyone must accept this verdict. The decree is a good opportunity for Hindus and Muslims to develop rapport, Hindus have the right to the land. Hindus and Muslims should get together and build the mosque, find the right place for it. Hindus should cooperate in the construction of the mosque, Muslims should cooperate in the construction of the temple, and a new era of attachment will begin.”
“I told you that Hindus should not be overly passionate, triumphant, and not hold a procession. The Muslims must also accept it (the verdict) with dignity,” added the Pejawar Seer.
He further said, “The court has given a great responsibility to the government of the saints to fulfill the request of the saints and to respect the faith of the Hindus. I appeal to all the people of the country to be in communal harmony.”
