Udupi: Hephsiba Rani Korlapati took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district, on Thursday, February 7. She was preceded by Priyanka Mary Francis.
The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner was previously serving as the Managing Director, Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), Hubballi-Dharwad.
Hepshiba who is from Basavakalyan of Bidar district, originally hails from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. She is a 2011 batch IAS officer.
Hepshiba completed her BA degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and post graduation in MA, Geography, from Delhi School of Economics. She had also secured 20th rank in IAS and served as Assistant Commissioner of Basavakalyana sub-division in Bidar district. She has also served as Commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation.
